The Joint Spatial Plan is a collaboration between the four West of England Councils (North Somerset, Bath and North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Bristol City) to plan for development through to 2036.
The plan was examined by Inspectors over the summer of 2019, however, the hearings were halted part way through as the Inspectors concluded that there were very substantial soundness problems with the plan. The Inspectors have confirmed in a subsequent letter that the Plan needs complete revision including the way in which the Strategic Development Locations (SDLs), such as and including those for Nailsea are identfied. Any revised plan will be subject to further public consultation and N.A.G. will publicise this as and when it occurs and also consider further responses that we may make.
Information and documents relating to the plan to date can be found of the West of England website.
